|How do I register for a course? |
Registration for Akanto online courses is done by emailing the completed Registration Form with proof of payment (either via electronic funds transfer bank confirmation or Paypal confirmation) to email@example.com. Class sizes are limited; if a course becomes full it will be announced immediately on the web.
|How much are Akanto course fees? |
All of our courses have a standard tuition of 120 € and a reduced one of 80Є (unenployed, students and cultural workers), which includes use of the online platform, additional online tutoring, online course material, and the course certificate sent via postal service upon successful completion of the course.
There are limited scholarships offered by the Fundación Tripartita for persons who meet certain employment criteria. (Further information available by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org)
How can I pay the registration fee?
Registration fees can be paid by bank transfer or PayPal.
The account number for bank transfers is located on the Registration Form.
For students outside of the European Union, the preferred method of payment is via PayPal, avoiding costly international bank transfer fees.
Can I enroll in a course if I am not from a country in the European Union?
Yes. The courses offered are entirely online and accessible to students from anywhere in the world. Our courses are enriched by the different cultural backgrounds of our international students.
Do I need to enter the online platform at specific times?
No. The online nature of the course offers a great level of flexibility. Students are not evaluated on the amount of time spent on the online platform or the amount times they sign-in, but rather by the adequate completion of assignments throughout the course.
How will I receive my course completion certificate?
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a course completion certificate mailed through the postal service to the address listed on the registration form (no exceptions), free of charge.
What is the course structure?
All of our courses are 120hrs in duration (the equivalent of two months). The methodology is based on direct online contact between the instructor and the students, as well as inter-student communication. Each week has a different theme, with readings and additional class material, and from this topic a class debate is created in the discussion forum. Students must also complete weekly, thematic, online tests.
Class assignments are also given, based on one or a combination of themes studied.
How is coursework evaluated?
The course evaluation is based on the combination of activities developed during the length of the course. This includes class participation in weekly debates, class assignments, and weekly tests. While participation need not be excessive, students are encouraged to communicate with one another while taking advantage of the lively discussions facilitated on the online forum.
If a student has trouble following the course or needs special assistance, they should communicate directly with their instructor who will be glad to help the student in resolving the issue.
How does online tutoring work?
Akanto online courses are equipped with instructors available to students via the online platform.
